I know someone whose job was terminated by the company. He is concerned whether it will be reflected as terminated in his employment history, when an employment history check is conducted by his new employer.
How does it work? Are just the employment dates reflected? Or it also explains the reason (Lay-off,resignation,termination or fired).
How is job termination reflected in job history,in employment check?
IT DEPENDS ON THE EMPLOYER
many have a policy to give out only limited information about former employees. they can give any work related information from the employees personnel file as long as it is accurate and documented but most don't.
employment information usually is not gathered in a background check it is gathered during the reference checks.
