I have been seeking employment for almost two years, should I go back to college?

In May 2006, I received a Master of Education Degree in Adult Learning and Development. I have a great concern for labor relations, career/ training and development.Does anyone suggest that I go back to school to obtain additional skills and experiences while I am still seeking employment? Please give me your accurate opinions. By the way, I am more than willing to relocate.

Maybe you should go back to college. Even if potential employers see that you are working towards your degree they will be more likely to higher you than if you weren't.
Reply:Why dont you try to become a teacher...start pay is good and you can do that while trying to find something you really want to do.
Reply:It depends upon what you want to do. It is sometimes difficult to get established in the college system. If you want to teach in the college system, begin looking at term replacements to build your resume and reputation. Relocation may be part of it, and you may need to be willing to be somewhat transient for a year or two. My daughter just got a permanent position teaching in the college system, but it took about three years of trying. Best of luck, whatever you decide.
Reply:welcome to india.....for better opportunity.
Reply:I think you should study something cool job like a flight attendant thast a great job !
Reply:Yes u should to improve your prospects in the future.
Reply:Well, I'm stuck in a dead-end low paid job at the moment and I'd love to do some sort of training to breakl the cycle, so I think you might aswell do something productive during your down-time, what could be more productive than bettering yourself and your CV and therefor increasing the amount of opportunities that will be available to you in the future
Reply:I hire people daily and I know some job markets are harder than others, but if you've been looking for a job for 2 years, you haven't been looking hard enough. If it's the fact that you haven't found something in your field or something that interests you, you need to get a 'filler' job until something more interesting comes along. You can't be out of work force for that long and expect people to hire you. After 6 months of unemployment, new employers start looking at you like "why hasn't she been working?" "what's wrong with her that no one else will hire her?" I recommend getting back into the work force, maybe going back to school part time in the evenings and then go from there. Good luck.
Reply:With your level of education, I'd suggest that you try to get a part-time or temporary lectureship at a college or university that teaches in what you specialise in. The poeple you will work alongside on a day to day basis there are always kept up to date of major job appointments that may suit you for the longer term.
Reply:well...where exactley do you live?

I live in California and in the bay area there are many adult schools..and probabley there are many jobs available just as well. though i doubt they post them on the internet. you would have to move all the way here and check it out yourself.

and going back to school might not be the best idea if you can find a job here just as well.

also, check out with some career planner from your area. they should have something suitable available for you.
Reply:Relocate, look for placed that is hiring in that field. I am pretty sure they are some placed hiring that need your expertise..
