As a general rule, they simply won't hire you...and as a general rule, their disclosure of a positive test result without your permission would subject THEM to suit.
You might want to consider abiding by the terms of your informal probation, however.

Apart from Paris , Rhone Alpes and South what are the best areas in France for employment opportunities ?
Im relocating to France and would ideally like to live within commutable distance of an area that has good employment opportunities in the Manufacturing and Services sectors . I cannot afford to live in the pricey South , Paris , Alsace or Rhone Alpes areas I have drawn up a short list of Le Mans , Bordeaux , Nantes , Poitiers but Im really not too sure . Also the pace of life is very different there so make sure that you go somewhere which fits you culturally too. The south of France can be quite drab out side the obvious sunny seasons.

Why isn't there a Government run website which allows someone to view their Employment History?
I can not for the life of me remember the exact dates for which I started and finished working for any of my employers. I know that there are Government Organizations that keep track of this information. Is there a website out there that will allow me to view my own employment history without a fee?

Reply:Primarily because the government doesn't have, nor should it have, the EXACT dates you worked at any given job. At most, they would have the quarter you started and ended the job. If it were up to me, they would have NO IDEA who I worked for or when.

I don't know exactly where to post this..... lets say a person has a resume that overstates their title %26amp; what they have done. If a prospective employer calls the company, can they verify the claims or is it only the dates %26amp; locations of employment they can verify?

In order to maximise processing efficiencies within the team, customers are requested to restrict telephone, email and fax enquiries to those of the utmost urgency. If you wish to request that your application be considered on an urgent basis it is possible to make a request for your application to be processed urgently in the following circumstances:
You have urgent travel commitments;
You require urgent medical treatment;
You have received an offer of employment;
You have other exceptional circumstances.
You will be required to complete an HSMP Urgent Treatment form which can be faxed to the HSMP Team on 0114 207 6021.
HSMP Urgent Treatment Form
It is no longer necessary to submit passports with an HSMP application. For HSMP applications applicants will normally make the application to extend their leave to remain after the HSMP decision has been made. However, an application for HSMP is not treated as an in-time immigration application under Section 3 of the 1971 act. As such if your current leave is due to expire before a decision is likely to be made on your HSMP application you will need to take the following action. You should either contact us with a view to treating your application as urgent, or alternatively, submit the application on the FLR (IED) form to extend your leave in the UK before your leave expires. Such an application will be treated in accordance with the immigration rules at the time of submission.
If you have previously submitted your passport and require its return for travel purposes, fax requests to withdraw your leave to remain application should be made to the appropriate In Country Team. Your passport will be returned to you and you must submit a new FLR(IED) to apply for your leave to remain

What is the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme?
The programme is designed to allow highly skilled people to migrate to the United Kingdom to look for work or self-employment opportunities. The scheme has a separate assessment for applicants aged under 28 as well as an assessment for those 28 and over.
The Highly Skilled Migrant Programme is different from the work permit scheme because you do not need a specific job offer in the UK to apply.
It is different from business routes such as the Innovators scheme or other business categories because you do not need a detailed business plan; you do not need to create jobs; and you do not need to invest in the UK.
How can I apply?
You should apply to the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme Team at Work Permits UK (WPUK) in Sheffield. You can apply from abroad. In most cases, you can also apply from inside the UK if you are here with Home Office permission.
Your application will not be successful if you are in the United Kingdom as a visitor, on temporary admission, or without permission.
How do I qualify as a highly skilled migrant?
There is a points-based immigration scheme. Points are scored in five main areas:
educational qualifications;
work experience;
past earnings;
your achievement in your chosen field; and
your husband's, wife's, civil partner?s or unmarried partner's achievements.
There are also separate arrangements for those who are applying through the MBA Provision and further points can be awarded for those applying through the Priority Application Process for General Practitioners.
A separate young person's assessment also exists whereby an extra 5 points can be awarded if the applicant is under 28 years of age at the time of application.
You need to score 65 points or more to qualify as a highly skilled migrant.
Self-employed General Practitioners qualified to practice in the UK may also apply under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme.
How long will I be allowed to stay in the United Kingdom as a highly skilled migrant?
At first, we give you permission to stay in the UK for up to 24 months to seek work or self-employment opportunities.
