In what states are bartenders required to obtain certification as a condition of employment?

It says on Wikipedia:


"In some states, bartenders are required to obtain certification as a condition of employment".


What states? Is New York one of them?

Most states require certification.





Certification usually only means that you have a food handlers certificate (don't sneeze on a plate of food, don't rub food on the floor, sanitary issues, etc...) - not specific to bartending, most wait staff need it.
