How do you obtain the employment record of a store when you don't have the authority to do so?

Somone said Better Business Bureau or the local library might be able to help me. Other suggestions?

How do you obtain the employment record of a store when you don't have the authority to do so?
Employment record of a particular employee, or all of the records on all of their employees? For what prupose would you need them?





If you have a complaint about the employment practices of the company, the place to start is either your local department of labor (DOL) or department of fair employment and housing (DFEH.)





Those two agencies deal with violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act, wage and hour law, labor law, discriminatory practices, allegations of harassment and/or retaliation, and so on. If they require employment records (or any other records - payroll, applicant, etc.) to prove or disprove a legitimate complaint, they can and will subpoena those records from the company on behalf of the claimant.
