Is there a way to fix bad employment experiences?

I am worried because I can't seem to get hired by anyone. I do have a job, but I want a higher paying job. And if I can't get that, a second job. My employment past has been kind of shaky. I've been fired and let go a few times, and I'm afraid this is affecting my ability to get a new job. Is there a way to "fix" these bad experiences so they do not drag me down on my current hunt for employment?

You may want to invest in a reputable career coach.

There is no way to fix or erase what has happened. However, take the adverse and succinctly explain what happened. "I was let go because our team was not making their goal." or, "Because the business had fallen, the company eliminated my position." If there was a change of management and the job/environment changed, say so.

What you need to be able to do is say to a future employer is, "What I learned from that experience is I really enjoy and thrive on is (or really don't enjoy working on is...)
